How it works

Initial meeting

Our first contact can either be over the phone, email or in person. Once a school identifies the year group it wants to benefit from our workshops or seminars we are happy to discuss the topics which the school and students have identified as being most useful. The number of topics really depends on the time available - each topic takes about 30 minutes to present.

Writing and delivering the workshops

As soon as the year groups, duration and topics have been decided the whole day is written especially for the school and the audience. For younger students we may well use a more practical approach with lots of activities. Older students may well feel the available time is better used with more facts. Either way we will keep schools in the loop and guarantee to hit the right note.

After our visit

We continue to support schools, teachers and students either through this website which is kept up to date, or through personal contact. They are welcome to email or call with questions.

"As a regional building society aiming to give back to the community it serves Hinckley & Rugby Building Society is extremely proud to sponsor WizeUp’s sessions within local secondary schools. Ed’s sessions are not only entertaining but also very informative and relevant to the sort of decisions that young people will be facing in the not-too-distant future. The fantastic feedback we receive from both teachers and pupils alike, stating that sessions on topics such as budgeting and managing their money are thought-provoking and enlightening, are proof of their value and a compelling reason for us being involved in such an important project."

GreenSky Wealth

GreenSky Wealth provides independent financial advice for individuals and businesses. They are based in Norwich, Norfolk.

At Greenskywealth we are extremely happy with our association with Ed Flack and Wizeup.

The schools we sponsor, Reepham and Anglo European are delighted with the tailored workshops their students are getting and are already rebooking for next year.

Ed has dedicated himself to delivering financial education directly to the students, in plain no-nonsense English. Giving them all the knowledge and tools, they will need to navigate the big financial decisions they will be making moving forward.

Why no one else is doing this we simply don’t understand.

If each Company sponsored 1 or 2 local schools our children would be so much better equipped to avoid costly mistakes.

Keep up the great work Ed!

Bath Building Society

Although we operate throughout Britain, we enjoy great support from the City of Bath and its surrounding areas.  The Society can trace its origins back to 1904, when it was set-up originally as a Friendly Society.  It used Members’ investments to buy property to rent, becoming a Building Society in the 1950s, lending money for people in the City to buy their own homes.

The Society’s growth follows the growth of property ownership in Britain, with assets increasing from some £10m in 1980 to approximately £292m today (31.12.15).
